Phoenix Picks’s privacy policy: no ads or tracking cookies, the providers we use and how to exercise your US privacy rights.
At a glance
Phoenix Picks (phxpicks.com) carries no ads and no Google AdSense, sets no tracking cookies and never sells personal information. What we collect is limited to running the site, replying to email and managing business accounts.
What we receive
From every visit, technical details such as IP address, browser and requested page, which keep the site working and protected. From emails, your address and message. From business owners, the email they log in with, every change to their listing and, for paid plans, billing information.
Cookies and measurement
Readers get no cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits in aggregate and works without cookies. In “For businesses”, signing in places one session cookie, and the forms there are guarded against bots by Cloudflare Turnstile.
Third parties we rely on
Cloudflare for hosting, protection, statistics and email; Stripe for payments, so card details never pass through our systems; OpenFreeMap for the map tiles your browser loads; and Google Maps for the business search in “For businesses”. They receive only what their task requires.
Keeping data
Security logs, briefly. Email, while the conversation is useful. Business accounts, until they are closed. Invoices and payment records, as long as tax law says.
For California residents
California’s privacy statute, the CCPA, strengthened by the CPRA, entitles you to find out what we hold about you, to correct and delete it, to refuse any sale or sharing and to limit use of sensitive information. Phoenix Picks sells nothing, shares nothing for advertising and collects no sensitive information. Using these rights never leads to different treatment.
Arizona and every other state
Readers in Arizona and anywhere else in the country can ask us to show, correct or delete their information, and residents of states with their own privacy laws, such as Texas, Colorado or Virginia, hold those rights by statute. Write to info@phxpicks.com; we confirm the request from your email address and reply within 45 days.
Children
Phoenix Picks is for adults, not for children under 13, and we take care not to collect anything about them.
